 Dr Carl Leong | General Practice
Carl is originally from London, growing up between the UK and France. Prior to immigrating to Australia in pursuit of a career in medicine, Carl studied at Manchester and Cambridge and worked as an engineer in the Netherlands and Germany. After studying medicine in Sydney (BMBS), he undertook hospital training in NSW and at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide before completing his Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners. Carl has been a Director of Colonel Light Medical Centre since 2014. He has special interest and skills in paediatrics, minor surgical procedures, mental health, men's health, and chronic condition management. Carl is happy to consult in French.

Dr Matthew Rathjen | General Practice 
Matthew graduated from the University of Adelaide (MBBS) in 2003. He completed internship and a year of residency at the Royal Adelaide Hospital before undertaking 5 years of service in the Australian Regular Army. During this time, he completed Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners. Following discharge from the Regular Army, Matthew has worked in civilian General Practice whilst maintaining an association with the military as a member of the specialist reserve. He has special interest and skills in sports medicine, mental health, preventative health, minor surgical procedures, paediatrics, sexual health, aviation medicine, and underwater medicine. ​

Dr Llewyn Waters | General Practice 
After graduating from the University of Sydney (MBBS), BSc(Hons) in 1980, Llewyn worked as a rural generalist GP in NSW, Queensland, and New Zealand. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) with advanced specialist training in obstetrics (DipObs). Llewyn has special interest in general family medicine, chronic and preventative medicine, cardiology, skin reviews, lesion removal, men's health, obstetrics, and iron infusions.

​Dr David Anderson | General Practice
​ David graduated from Flinders University (BMBS) in 1980, completing his training years at Flinders Medical Centre and the Adelaide Children's Hospital. He commenced General Practice in 1989, concurrently working part-time as a casualty doctor at the Children's Hospital for 20 years. David has a special ​interest in child health, cardiac risk assessment, and oncology, as well as emergency medicine. He is an avid dog lover and conversationalist. David is currently taking New Patients*.

Dr Ken Jureidini | Paediatrics/Nephrology / Hypnotherapy / Medicolegal
After graduating from the University of Adelaide (MBBS), Ken trained in Paediatrics at Adelaide Children’s Hospital (ACH-WCH), Nephrology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woodville, Hospital for Sick Children Toronto Canada, and Guy’s Hospital London. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, has a Diploma Health and Medical Law, and is a Member of the Australian Society of Hypnosis. Ken was inaugural director of paediatric and adolescent renal services in SA. He established the paediatric dialysis and transplant program at the (then) Adelaide Children's Hospital (ACH). Ken has a longstanding interest in improving healthcare for Aboriginal children and led the paediatric component of the "Ummona Kidney Project" in Coober Pedy. Referral required prior to appointment. A Direct Billed service with a referral.

Bryanna Edwards | Dietetics
Bryanna is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders University. She is passionate about nutrition and dietetics and has a positive patient centred approach. Bryanna uses evidence-based practice to meet your goals. She has undertaken further training in motivational interviewing, eating disorders and is part of the South Australian HAES Professional Network. Bryanna's interest areas include gestational diabetes, weight loss, general nutrition, high cholesterol, nutritional advice, FODMAPS - IBS. Currently on leave.

Wendy Bampton | Physiotherapy
Since graduating in 1983, Wendy has worked as a physiotherapist in rural and metropolitan hospitals in SA, including Port Pirie, Wallaroo, St Andrews and Memorial Hospitals, as well as in private practice. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Physiotherapy, a Masters of Physiotherapy (rural and remote) and a Diploma of Population Health. Wendy has skills and experience in specialised physiotherapy services, including orthopaedics, geriatrics, health promotion and falls prevention, and photoblomodulation. She ​provides general physiotherapy across the lifespan.

Joanna Tan | Physiotherapy
Since graduating in 1995, Jo has worked as a physiotherapist in hospitals all around Australia, including The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Royal Darwin Hospital, and the Repatriation Hospital and Women's and Children's Hospitals in Adelaide, as well as in private practice. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Physiotherapy and a Graduate Certificate in Health Care Management. Most recently, Jo has been working in Community Health, providing specialised physiotherapy services, such as chronic conditions management, falls/balance assessments, exercise classes, and home visits. She provides general physiotherapy across the lifespan. Currently on leave.  ​

Peter Rowe | Physiotherapy
Since graduating with a Physiotherapy degree at University of South Australia in 1986, Peter has worked in a wide range of fields within the physio realm, both in rural and metropolitan settings.  He has extensive experience with sporting injuries, having travelled, coached and provided physio services for sporting teams. Peter enjoys problem-solving with clients, using exercises, trigger point therapy, and corrective techniques to resolve pain. Providing us with a Locum Physio service.

Bonny Zhang | Podiatry
Bonny graduated from University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Podiatry degree in 2014. Her podiatric experience includes dealing with both low and high risk feet, wound care management, diabetes assessment, general biomechanics, and paediatrics.


Our Nurses

Melissa is our registered nurse. She manages first aid, dressings, and immunisations, as well as much more, including but not limited to, Health Assessments.

Our Practice Manager

Heather is our practice manager. She will assist you with any inquiries about accounts, including other general matters.

Our Receptionists

Kirsti, Raener, and Marian are our reception staff. We appreciate your courtesy and care as we meet your appointment needs.
